Introduction

It is my goal to make sure that you feel like your best and most beautiful self. I focus on the quality of my services to make sure that your expectations are met, whether it's a smokey eye, natural glam, or a colorful graphic liner. I charge per service, not per hour, and I include pockets of extra time in my quotes to allow for tweaking and perfecting during our service with no extra charge to you. I also offer add-ons to your makeup services, such as gems, charms and body makeup that can be added at any time.

Q&A

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
If you are interested in my services, I will ask for your location as I am a travel-based makeup artist and confirm the number of clients, time estimations and overall cost for all services. Once booked, having reference photos, or ideas about the style of look that you want is much appreciated for everyone in your party, but I am also more that happy to free-style as well. In person, I will ask you a number of questions about your skin type and care, the coverage of makeup that you are comfortable with as part of my consultation before we get started.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
In the state of Indiana, I am a licensed cosmetologist, and graduated from an accredited institution. I have worked as a makeup artist for proms, graduations, senior photos, student films, theater, as well as bridal services.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Over the last year, I have worked with bridal parties performing makeup services, so, I am no stranger to early mornings and larger bridal parties. I gained a lot of experience navigating the excitement and anxiety of your big day for everyone involved. It is my job to make sure that you are relaxed, and comfortable so you can glow inside and out.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Please, don't be afraid to speak up during your service. If at any point your service provider is doing something that you don't love, speak up. As service providers, we are here for you, and we will not be offended if you express discomfort or dissatisfaction. If by the end of the service, you do not feel your best, then we have the obligation to correct it.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Remember to think about the time allotted in your schedule, and try to keep in mind that having buffer time is never a disadvantage. Sometimes, services need to be scheduled earlier in the morning because of the number of clients, or the time of the event; and there are other times when there may need to be extra time added to the service which can impact start times. It would also be important to ask providers if they have confidence performing makeup services on POC. Unfortunately, I have experienced many clients opting out of services because they did not expect to be included in the service because of the color of their skin. If you are in a party, and hiring a makeup service, ask the service provider about their experience.
